This piece captures the pain and agony Jesus was in as He was being crucified, but there was something in his eye that He saw while he was being pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities. He saw us with so much love, He saw men and women who had forgotten they were made in the image of God, and who were lost in sin. He saw the value of all the people crucifying him, and all the value of everyone who was ever going to live, including yourself. It was his punishment which brought us peace. He is the Prince of Peace.
